Roads in Kenya

Thika Road is a major road in Kenya linking the City of Nairobi and Thika town. The road is currently under major construction to expand it to a superhighway consisting of an eight-lane highway. The total cost of the expansion was estimated at Ksh 27 billion[1], but could be higher due to increasing fuel costs[2].The anticipated completion date is February 2012 [3][4]. The section between Muthaiga roundabout and Ruiru town will also be a part of the Nairobi Northern Bypass that will link to Limuru Road[5].
